Officials say the treaty is no longer on the agenda.
President Joe Biden stated, in a recently released video from a November election rally, that the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the nuclear treaty with Iran, “is dead.“
Secretary of State Antony Blinken had stated in September that “Iran seems either unwilling or unable to do what is necessary to reach an agreement.”
“There is no progress happening with respect to the Iran deal, now. We don’t anticipate any progress, anytime in the near future. That’s just not our focus,” White House National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby said. “It’s not on our agenda.“
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For wisdom for President Biden and his administration as they decide the priorities they will focus on.
- For Secretary of State Blinken as he engages foreign officials regarding agreements and deals.
- For National Security Council members as they review information and advise the president.
